About St Photini UOC

St Photini was founded in 2020, a few months after Fr. Micah's ordination to the subdiaconate. We are a small but growing community, serving chrismated Orthodox Christians, seekers, and Protestants and Catholics in equal measure. We seek to share the love of Christ and the joy of his life, death and resurrection in ecumenical community through the lens of our timeless Eastern Orthodox faith. Our congregation is a mixture of students (primarily from Seattle Pacific University and the University of Washington), families in the Seattle area and a handful of seminarians of Orthodox and other Christian traditions. We are united around the Creeds, the person and work of Christ, Eastern patterns of liturgy and the contemplative life, and a commitment to justice and mercy in our city. In the words of Christ to the Apostle Andrew, we welcome all people without exception to "Come and see."
