St. Photini UOC is pleased to be joined in ministry by various other members of the one Body of Christ. Coming together in various forms of ecumenical fellowship, we make God's love manifest in our midst.
Communion Partners
The Universalist Orthodox Church practices open communion, in that all may receive the Eucharist. For the purposes of building up Christian community in the rich diversity of the Body of Christ, we encourage friends of our community who are seeking Christian baptism and membership to discern which tradition(s) they feel God calls them to abide in. For those who feel that their home is in the Eastern Orthodox faith, we are glad to baptize and/or chrismate them as members of the Body of Christ and parishioners in the spiritual flock of the Universalist Orthodox Church. For those who feel called to abide in the Roman Catholic faith or other Western expressions of the Christian faith, we refer them to our communion partners for catechism and membership purposes:
The American Apostolic Old Catholic Church -- An independent Catholic Church which celebrates the Roman Mass and practices inclusive and affirming Catholic Christianity. The American Apostolic Old Catholic Church is administered by Bishop +Kristina (Rake).
